Microsoft Net Framework
Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0
1. Install the framework
The Analyze PRO application is based on the Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0.
Setup will check if this is installed in the server computer.
If not, you can download it from here http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=186913 .
If you have not installed the .Net 4.0 framework this dialog will appear when you start the setup:
2. Ensure that the framework is enabled on the web server
If you installed the .Net framework before you installed the Internet Information Services then you need to activate the ASP.NET.
Click Start -> Run -> cmd.exe -> cd "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319" -> aspnet_regiis.exe -i
3. Allow ASP.NET v 4.0.x to execute on the web server
Windows 2003 and 2003 R2
This property can be set on the selected web site or a specific virtual directory. If you set it on the web site it will offcourse affect all virtual directories there in that web site. If other web applications use this web site they may stop working. So it might be a good idea to play it safe and use the virtual directory - after setup has completed. It's created by the setup.
On the Web site you intend to use or the virtaul directory, after it has been installed by the setup;
1) Right click on either.
2) Select properties
3) Click ASP.NET and select ASP.NET version 4.0.x
4) Click OK
Windows 2008 and 2008 R2
If Microsoft.Net is not activated in IIS you can try to activate it from the Internet Information Services Management:
Click on the name of the server and select ISAPI and CGI Restrictions:
Set ASP.NET v.4.0.3019 to "Allowed".
4. Trouble shooting
There may be problems validating if the .NET package has been correctly installed. This is because the ASP.NET is not installed correctly in IIS.
Ensure ASP.NET is installed from the Server Manager:
Go to Server Manager -> Roles -> Web Server (IIS) -> ASP.NET and activate it as shown below.
